  • Received degree from Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry at New York University
  • Member of American Academy of Dentistry, American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Endodontic Society
  • Long time sponsor of programs that benefit Fairview Park City Schools
  • Active in Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
  • Former member of FHS Halls of Fame Committee

Jeanne Anne Clement, Ed.D - Class of 1956

Nurse, Professor

  • Certified Nurse, Clinical Specialist and Associate Professor in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health
  • Obtained numerous grants for research
  • Authored book chapters, bulletins, abstracts, papers, book reviews
  • Participated in conferences and summits both here and abroad on subject of Mental Health and Nursing
  • Extensive professional societies, honors and awards

 

Carl Henning, Ph.D. - Class of 1957

Mechanical Engineer

  • 1965 University of Michigan
  • 1973 Vice President of Intermagnetics General Corporation in charge of engineering and new product development
  • 1987-1990 U.S. Deputy Managing Director in Charge of Fusion Technology programs
  • 1991 headed University of California LLNL Kuwait Oil Fire Project to develop methods to more quickly contain and extinguish oil well fires resulting from the Iraq/Kuwait war
  • 1990's Project Engineer for National Ignition Facility and formed a team to design and build a two MEGAJoule laser for Fusion Energy
  • 1996 Chairman of American Nuclear Society Topical Meeting on the Technology of Fusion Energy
  • Extensive professional societies, honors, patents and awards 

Gordon Hubbell, DVM - Class of 1953

Veterinarian

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Zoo Director, Vet and Education Director for two Miami zoos
  • Principle designer of three zoos in the United States and abroad
  • Consultant to Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom
  • Works closely with scientists from the Smithsonian Institute and the Florida Museum of Natural History
  • Appeared on five Discovery Channel Shark Week programs
  • Received two Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellows awards

Fairview High School and Myer Middle School Counselor, Extra-Curricular Advisor

  • Helped to develop the State recognized K-12 Guidance Curriculum of the Fairview Park City Schools, which is still utilized today

Margaret Knestrick (1979-2005)

  • Worked for various hospitals and Cuyahoga County Board of Health
  • 1989 Hired as Fairview Park City Schools First Full-Time Nurse
  • 1990-1991 Fairview Park City Schools employee of the Year
  • 2002-2003 Fairview Park PTA State Nurse of the Year
  • Instrumental in initiating, setting up and writing various programs for students and staff
  • 1989-2005 Only person to work with a student from Kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Volunteered as chaperone for 12 Washington trips
  • Coordinated all student health information and medical needs
  • Instrumental in creating, setting up clinics in each school building
  • Provided safe storage of student medications and records information
  • Instrumental in writing IEP information about medication usage and dosage for students
